Valery Chacon, 7th grade, said this season was pretty good because of the wins, but “we shouldn’t think we’re the best. We should have won the game we lost. Everybody got cocky and we should have won that game, period.” What was the most exciting thing to happen? Chacon exclaimed, “Making my first goal because I didn’t expect to score or make any goals.” What do you need to improve for the remaining games? “Shooting from the sides and not taking too long on passing. I’ve gotten better at passing, communicating and having more confidence in myself.”

Aracely Vasquez, 7th, stated, “We did win, but our loss against Argentine was hard. I feel we didn’t try our best.” What’s the most exciting thing this season? “Winning!” What do you need to improve on? “I need to not be afraid to just shoot to the goal. I’ve gotten better at passing more, not doing so much dribbling.”

Ana Madrid, 8th, said, “I feel we have learned and improved from that loss.” What’s the most exciting thing to happen this season? “Getting to know my team and working with them.” What do you need to improve? “We need to improve on our drills, just have more intense drills. I’ve gotten better with working with my team.”

Arlet Araiza, 8th, said, “That loss should not have happened, but what’s done is done, we can’t do anything about it. I’m really proud of our wins! Hopefully we’ll make more wins!” What’s the most exciting thing to happen? “Winning almost all of our games! We need to improve on spreading out and looking at who to pass the ball to instead of just kicking it anywhere.” What have you improved upon this season? “Chipping the ball up, to be honest.”

Jeremy Quintanilla, 7th, said, “We’re doing good. Hopefully we can keep going undefeated! It’s been exciting!” What does the team need to improve for the remaining games? “Taking more shoots, taking better chances.” What have you improved upon this season? “I’ve gotten better at working through the defense.” What did you think about Saturday’s exciting game when you won against Eisenhower in the last 3 minutes of the game? “It felt good! We beat the team that we lost to last year!”

Brian Carrizales, 8th, “I feel good about Saturday’s win because they’re good teams and this is my last year playing for Central.” What was the most exciting thing this season so far? “That we won against Eisenhower! It was in the last three minutes and it was exciting!” What do you need to improve upon for the remaining games? “We need to pass the ball and then move the ball from side to side. This season I’ve gotten better at making friends. When the season started, I didn’t know anyone on the team.” What did you think about Saturday’s exciting win against Eisnehower? “I was nervous because I didn’t want another draw game. I really wanted to beat them because we lost against them last season.”

Isaac said, “I feel good about the season because we’re undefeated!” What’s been the most exciting thing? “Winning against Eisenhower, from the defeat they gave us last year.” What do you need to improve upon? “We need to move the ball a lot better and shoot better and more. I’ve gotten better at working with the team. I’m used to playing by myself.” What did you think about Saturday’s exciting win in the last three minutes? “It was fun. Eisenhower started talking stuff and it was cool to comeback and win on them!”
