When asked which runner inspired him, Alonso Tarango said, “Anthony Castor, 7th grade. I like to run and try to get first place each meet. I got first place at the meet and I’m proud of myself.” What do you find the most challenging about cross country? “When someone comes up behind you and you’ve been in first place most of the race.” Why do you run? “I really like to run, a lot! I run because it cheers me up. I push myself really hard and push to get better every day, to get first place each meet.”
